It’s a Route 66 road trip! In August 2023 our new Buzz Honey Lager was the recipient of the Silver Medal at the prestigious National Honey Board’s “Honey Beer Competition.”

As this was the first in Mudshark Brewing‘s new line of beers linked to Route 66, we are taking the show on the road. A representative is taking to the road and following iconic Route 66 to the 8th Annual Miles of Possibility Conference in Bloomington, Illinois. And he will have an array of Mudshark swag to hand out along the way, and at the conference.

Lake Havasu City may be located a few miles south of that famous highway but there is a Route 66 connection. In 1962, Go Read The River, an episode of the now classic Route 66 television program was filmed at Site Six and in Lake Havasu City.

Mudshark Brewery and Public House, and Lake Havasu City, Arizona, is fast becoming a popular detour for legions of Route 66 travelers. With our Route 66 road trip we will be inviting the world of craft beer enthusiasts to Lake Havasu City, and to Mudshark Brewery.

Sharing America’s story, and inspiring road trips by telling people where to go, is the stock in trade of Jim Hinckley’s America. And now they are telling us where to go as we prepare for a Route 66 odyssey of epic proportions.

The Miles of Possibility Route 66 Conference is the only event of its kind that is focused on the business of Route 66. It also illustrates the international nature of this storied highway. As an example, the list of scheduled speakers includes Marian Pavel.

Pavel of Touch Media is based in Bratislava, Slovakia. His Route 66 Navigation app, and Mother Road Route 66 Passport, has transformed the way people experience Route 66. And now he is working with an eye on the Route 66 centennial in 2026.

There is an infectious spirit of enthusiasm and excitement, a unique magic about a Route 66 adventure. We have captured that spirit with the new Buzz Honey Lager.

So, the next time that you are in a road trip state of mind, but don’t have time to get your kicks on Route 66, stop by Mudshark Brewery and Public House. Aside from an array of delicious carf beer, we also have a diverse menu that is sure to please any palate.

We offer an array of great appetizers that go well with an ice cold craft beer. From skillet meatballs with marinara and mozzarella cheese to loded nachos with fresh chips, beer cheese, pulled pork, pico, and jalapenos you are assured a taste sensation treat.

But that is just the beginning. Our acclaimed pizzas are perfect for a memory making evening shared with friends. And if you prefer something on the lightere side, well, we have an array of delicious gourmet salads.
