Lake Havasu City on the shore of picturesque Lake Havasu is counted among the top destination cities in the state of Arizona. And it has been nominated in USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice travel awards for 2023.
Home of the London Bridge, Lake Havasu is a vacation paradise during the months of winter. But a lengthy schedule of events and an average of 290 sunny days per year ensures that in any season the visitor will be making memories that last a lifetime.
However, that ray of sunshine does more than make for warm winter days and deep rich tans to commemorate a weekend getaway or holiday. It also powers one of the leading pioneer microbreweries in the state.
At Mudshark Brewery and Public House tapping into solar power, literally, is about more than just sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint. It is also a cost saving innovation that sets us part.
In 2018, Mudshark Brewery was crowned America’s Favorite Solar Craft Brewery in the Brews From The Sun competition. As there were breweries from twenty one different states competing, this was quite an honor. Tina Stocking, Director of Sales & Marketing, said, “Being a part of the Brews from the Sun competition has been a lot of fun! It has given our entire company, from our sales team, servers, bartenders, management and brewers the opportunity to engage with our customers on our sustainability efforts. We have been able to spread the word and encourage others to join us in going solar!”
From its inception in 1999, Mudshark Brewery has focused on the crafting of delicious and innovative beers, and since 2011, on socially responsible innovation. Our first solar powered sytem was a mere 10-kilowatt. Since then we have added a solar water heater and a solar oven for cooking our acclaimed pub food.
But as might be expected, it is our beers that ensure locals and visitors alike return time and time again. Our beers are made with carefully selected organic ingredients and use natural carbonation processes. And we offer a variety of styles, from lagers and ales to stouts and porters. Some of our more popular brews include the Full Moon Belgian White Ale, Scorpion Amber Ale, Wild Watermelon, and Desert Magic IPA.
And now we are pleased to introduce the first of our Route 66 line of beers, The Buzz Honey Lager brewed with honey prodcued along that storied highway.
The launch party for this exciting new brew kicks off on the evening of June 2. Tickets are just $25. In addition to a twelve ounce tasting, the ticket price includes Buzz Honey Glazed Beef Ribs, live country music, and hundred of dollars in prizes.
So, if you’re looking for a way to enjoy a cold one while supporting renewable energy and local businesses, why not try one of the leading solar powered microbreweries in the United States? You’ll be amazed by the quality and variety of our beers, and you’ll feel good about your impact on the planet. Cheers!
