The Colorado River Valley is tailor made for great weekend getaways in any season. Even in the months of summer when temperatures are the hottest in the country, magical Lake Havasu City on the shores of Lake Havasu is a destination.

Home to London Bridge, Lake Havasu City is renowned for an array of delightful events that center on the picturesque lake. There is an annual boat show, one of the largest in the southwest, a Pro Am bass tournament, and jet ski event.

But what really makes this charming town a destination, especially for fans of craft beer, even in the months of summer, is Mudshark Brewery and Public House. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy some delicious and unique craft beers, to soak up a bit of Arizona sun, and to enjoy a memorable eveing or afternoon with friends, this is THE place.

This family-owned and operated brewery has been serving up award-winning beers for more than twenty years. And it has become a destination for beer enthusiasts from all over the country.

The brewery has a spacious taproom and patio, where you can sample their flagship beers like Liquid Haze IPA, Scorpion Amber Ale, Wild Watermelon, and HavaBlue. And soon Mudshark Brewery will be introducing its first beer with a Route 66 connection.

The Buzz Honey Lager is a “crisp and refreshing beer is brewed with locally sourced orange blossom honey, giving it a unique and delicious flavor that is true to the heart of Arizona.”

So, where is the Route 66 conenction? The honey comes from Oatman, Arizona, an old mining town world renowned for its semi wild burros that have free reign of the streets, and shops, and it’s scenic location on Route 66 in the Black Mountains.

When it comes to quality craft beer, Mudshark Brewery has no equal. But one of the things that really makes it stand out from other craft beer breweries, aside from it being located in one of the top destination cities in Arizona, is our commitment to sustainability and innovation.

We are one of the few breweries in the world that use solar power to brew their beer. This reduces our carbon footprint and dramatically sves energy. We also have pioneered a state-of-the-art water reclamation system that recycles water from the brewing process and uses it for other purposes. Even though we are on the shores of major lake, this is a desert.

And as evidenced by the new brew that will debut soon, we are always experimenting with new ingredients and techniques to create unique and flavorful beers that appeal to a wide range of palates. That in itself ensures we are a destination!

So if you’re looking for a great weekend getaway, consider spending a day or two in a fun and relaxing way in Lake Havasu City. And while you are in town, head over to Mudshark Brewery and enjoy some amazing craft beer. You’ll be glad you did!
