41 Solar Craft Breweries from 21 different states competed in the 2018 Brews from the Sun competition. Receiving over 2,000 votes, Mudshark Brewery of Lake Havasu, AZ was crowned America’s Favorite Solar Craft Brewery of 2018. Legal Remedy Brewing of Rock Hill, SC came in a close second place and Flathead Lake Brewing of Big Fork, MT took home third place.

Double chocolate happiness
F) The agressively high roasted malt flavors suggest bittersweet or unsweetened chocolate, cocoa, and strong coffee.
M) Full bodied and chewy, with a velvety, luscious texture and a gentle smooth warmth from alcohol is noticable.
O) An intensely flavored, big, dark winter ale that is a rare and refreshing glimpse of the great flavors of both white and dark chocolate that melds well with the roasty, burnt sensations of this big imperial stout.
West Coast IPA
A) Prominent intense hop aroma featuring characteristics such as citrus, floral, pine, resinous, spicy. Dry hop lends additional fresh hop aroma. Low clean, grainy-malty aroma in the background.
A) Medium gold. White head with good persistence.
F) Nice hop flavor, that reflects an American hop character, such as citrus, floral, pine, resinous. Medium-high hop bitterness. Malt flavor is balanced and clean with some light caramel, toasty flavors. Medium-dry finish. Some bitterness and hop flavor that pleasantly lingers into the aftertaste.
M) Medium-light body, with a smooth texture. Nice carbonation. Very light, smooth alcohol warming that does not intrude into overall balance.
O) Decidedly hoppy and bitter, showcasing modern American hop varieties. The balance is hopforward, with a clean fermentation profile, dryish finish, and clean, supporting malt allowing a creative range of hop character to shine through.
